Workroom has a new site and it’s time to shop. Our partnership with mobile technology company, Subports, has lead to a site on the PortalMrkt. The revolving online storefront features a selection of truly amazing merchandise from designers who exhibit at the workroom show. New product will rotate in every 30 days, and all purchases our made via text message! How cool is that? Pictured above are stunning bags by Collina Strada, perfect outerwear from Under Two Flags, and classic denim from Kanvis. Texting and Shopping together?? Yes please! Check it out.

Them Atelier | workroom preview August 2010

Pictured is Them Atelier’s stunning S/S 2011 look book. The ethereal images perfectly capture their fluid jersey basics, and signature unisex denim. We love the dreamy color palette and the hazy denim washes. Jeans and tees never looked so good, just heavenly. Also, Them Atelier is amazingly affordable. Their high quality and super chic jeans retail for about 80 bucks and you just can’t beat that! Definitely need a pair. Check out the complete collection at workroom next week!

Campaign | workroom preview August 2010

It’s time to get on our soapbox and start sharing our support for newly launched Australian Label, Campaign. Pat Supsiri and Natasha Ivachoff have created a great menswear line that combines affordability, luxury, and quality craftsmanship. The result has quickly made Campaign a brand to watch. Pictured are some amazing images from their S/S 2011, which infuses elements of classic 50’s menswear with modern details and finessed tailoring. We’re so excited to be a part of Campaign’s debut in the states. Check them out next week at workroom.

Left Field | workroom preview August 2010

Left Field launched in Brooklyn in 1998 and over a decade later that’s where it’s still based. All design and majority of the production are done domestically, which is pretty apropos considering designer Christian McCann draws inspiration from fabric and details that explore America’s heritage and rich subcultures, which have ranged from Pennsylvania Mine Workers and Midwestern Farmers to Ivy League Athletes and 1970’s Motorcycle Gangs. All varied, yet distinctly American. For S/S 2011 Left Field was inspired by the beat poets of the 50’s with a touch of the psychedelic 60’s. Pretty Groovy! Check them out at workroom next week in VEGAS.

Keep It Simple

We fell in love love love with the Keel's Simple Diary a few months back. Not only are they freaking adorable from the outside, amazing selection of colors, but it's what's inside them that really got us. Simple Diary offers quirky fill in the blank, open ended, and multiple choice questions that provide structure, insight, and humor to the monotony of daily journaling. For example "Your Day was (only choose one) () a good call. () showtime. () a cold shower." Definitely showtime!! The Simple Diary was created by internationally acclaimed artist and writer Phillip Keel. It was a response to an overload of information with a lack of actual meaning. The Simple Diary helps you sift through your day and get to the good stuff that actually made it worthwhile. We love these little babies so much that each brand participating in workroom next week is going to get one of their very own.
